2017 LISMORE FLOODS

Following the 2017 flood that devastated Lismore, Murwillumbah and South-East Queensland we were engaged by BMT WBM, WRM Water and and numerous insurers (Zurich, Asset Insure Pty Lty, GR McIntyre and Associates, etc) as unbiased hydrologists to conduct flood investigations. EEServices conducted more than 200 site visits over a two month period.

PROJECT IN DETAIL

Our main roles –

  • Performing site inspections which included: recording the insureds account of events, assessing the local hydrology and stormwater networks, taking photographs and gathering data
  • Develop conclusions as to flooding and stormwater contribution including initial and maximum depths of inundation and contribution (if any) of stormwater to the damage.

  • Numerical modelling if required

  • Writing technical reports detailing the insured version of events, the hydrologic assessment and conclusions
