Derek has near 20 years’ and also founded the Engineering and Environmental Services Business Trust near 5 years ago, and with a new co-director has grown the business to be a company. Engineering & Environmental Services is a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in dynamically linked 1D – 2D hydraulic Flood Assessment including riverine flooding and overland flow assessment, traditional stormwater pits and pipes networks, ecologically based stormwater management and water sensitive urban design, erosion sediment control. Derek has developed a strong local and regional professional network and is regarded as Lismore’s go to man for flood and stormwater related matters. Derek is proficient in many software packages including TUFLOW, XP, waterRIDE, and MUSIC. Derek has delivered the Evans Head and Coraki stormwater drainage studies for Richmond Valley Council, also the Lennox Head project, Airlie Beach Precinct Scale subdivision stormwater study and drainage system design, and analysis of Warwick Street, Ipswich.
