Derek Mackenzie, PhD Candidate B.Eng (Hons) CPEng RPEQ NER
Derek is a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) with 20 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, specialising in flooding and stormwater. FloodWorks is a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in dynamically linked 1D – 2D hydraulic Flood Assessment, including riverine flooding and overland flow assessment, traditional stormwater pit and pipe networks, ecologically based stormwater management, water-sensitive urban design, and erosion sediment control. Derek is currently undertaking a PhD at Southern Cross University focusing on coupled 3D hydrodynamic–-water quality modelling of the Richmond River and Tallow Creek ICOLL NSW.
Derek will be your point of contact for all projects and will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables conform to the proposal specifications, provided in a timely and cost-effective manner. Derek will act as the Project Director and Certifier and review all project output with certification where applicable.
