Project Description

SIR VALSTON HANCOCK DRIVE, EVANS HEAD STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN

We were engaged to develop a stormwater management plan with the goal of ensuring that the development had no worsening effect on downstream water quality through tertiary stormwater treatment processes.

PROJECT IN DETAIL

The objectives were achieved through the implementation of:

  • WSUD activities such as the control and direction of stormwater to 3 onsite bio-retention basins

  • Extensive erosion and sediment control during the construction phase

  • Installation of a large collection sump and oil-water separator underneath the wash down station to ensure discharge to council infrastructure was of required quality

PROJECT SUMMARY

THE
SOLUTION

The site was proposed to include a car washdown station which would produce trade waste. We designed a system that would ensure compliance with the liquid trade waste regulation guidelines. Following the clients acceptance of our recommendations the site is compliant with Richmond valley council’s water quality guidelines as well as the trade waste guidelines.
