MARA SEEDS WATER BALANCE
We recognised that the aim of this Stormwater and Water Balance Management Plan is to prevent water pollution.
PROJECT IN DETAIL
Surface and underground discharges of leachate and stormwater from the facility is not permitted to pollute groundwater or surface waters. Design has been undertaken in accordance with Composting And Related Organics Processing Facilities (2004) and NSW Development Design Specification D5 Stormwater Drainage Design (2013). The objective of no reduction in water quality will be achieved through the implementation of:
- Management strategies designed to minimise water pollution from the development of the subject site
Specific construction phase controls to minimise erosion and control sediment loss
A monitoring and maintenance program for the construction phase
Defined performance criteria and actions to be taken if the criteria are not met
